Eliza Gillis (nee Morrison) was born in Mount Buchanan. She has always lived in Belfast. She was a
homemaker and part-time teacher. Now retired, she enjoys her grandchildren, gardening, reading and
volunteering in her community.
Eliza was co-editor of The Past is Before Us (2002) and co-author of Leap Over Time (2004). She has
served on the Executive Committee of the Belfast Historical Society for over ten years.
