Elizabeth MacLeod
A resident of Toronto, Elizabeth MacLeod has been writing books since
1988.  Initially she worked as an editor at
OWL Magazine.  Liz took a
break from children's publishing to write for a software company, then
became an editor at Kids Can Press where she still is an author and
freelance editor.

Liz's books range from non-fiction to picture books to craft books.
Currently, she's enjoying investigating the lives of such well-known people
as Lucy Maud Montgomery, the Wright brothers and Albert Einstein, and
making their lives interesting and accessible to children.  
Her published works include: Harry Houdini: A Magical Life (2005), The Kids Book of Great
Canadians
(2004), The Wright Brothers: A Flying Start (2002), Lucy Maud Montgomery: A Writer's
Life (2001), Bake and Make Amazing Cakes (2001), Bake It and Build It (1998), Get Started: Stamp

(1988).  She is the recipient of many awards and honours for her works.
