Published in 2005, Who Departing This Life details the
history of the Old Burying Ground, from its creation in the
18th century to its ultimate closure and the recent
restoration efforts.

George was awarded the 2006 Prince Edward Island
Museum and Heritage Foundation Award for
Who Departed This Life.  He is and has been active in
many organizations including the Prince Edward Island
Genealogical Society.  In 2008, George was presented
with the Nelda Murray Award for his work in genealogy

An Island Owned and Operated Business
A genealogist for many years, George's early research led him to the gravesite of his great-great
grandfather, Hon. George Wright (son of Deputy Surveyor Thomas Wright), in the Old Protestant
Burying Ground.  This led him to become an active participant in the Millennium restoration of the
cemetery.  He has since discovered that he has at least nine direct grandparents interred there,
with the surnames Wright, Cambridge, Callbeck, Hyde, Braddock, and Vickerson.
