Dr. Harold Franklin McGee, Jr. is an anthropologist at Saint Mary's University, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
He is editor of The Native Peoples of Atlantic Canada, co-author of The Mikmaq: How Their Ancestors
Lived Five Hundred Years Ago (1983), and illustrator of Six Micmac Stories (1992). He has published a
number of articles in scientific journals on Mi'kmaq society and culture.
