Henri-Dominique Parette
Henri-Dominique Parette is a Nova Scotian Acadian writer of Swiss-French ancestry from the Jura on
his father's side, French from Lorraine on his mother's side.  He has been actively involved in Acadian
and Canadian cultural renaissance for more than fifteen years.  A literary translator, poet and prose
writer, he studied in Strasbourg and Lille, France.

Paratte's translation of
Anne of Green Gables  as Anne . . . La Mison aux pignons verts (1986) is a best
seller.  He is an author of several books and has published many articles, poems and short stories.  
Acadians - People of the Maritimes was published in 2004.
