Hugh MacDonald
Hugh MacDonald was born in Charlottetown, Prince
Edward Island, on July 24, 1945, and graduated from
St. Dunstan's University in 1968.  He is an
award-winning poet.  Hugh retired after thirty-one
years of dedicated teaching.  He now writes full time
and is currently President of the P.E.I. Writers' Guild
and Vice Chair of the P.E.I. Council of the Arts.  
MacDonald is the author of a book for children,

Chung Lee Loves Lobster
 (1992), and poetry
collections,
Looking for Mother (1995), The Digging
of Deep Wells
(1997), Tossed Like Weeds from the
Garden
(1999) and Cold Against the Heart (2003).  
He co-edited A Bountiful Harvest and Landmarks in 2001.  He recently published a novel, Murder at
Mussel Cove
.

He lives in Brudenell, Prince Edward Island, on the banks of the Montague River with his wife Sandra.
