Born in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Janet Reeves has
spent most of her life here on "Spud Island". She has been a
school teacher in a one-room schoolhouse, a waitress, cook,
telephone operator and seamstress, and a secretary for one of
the Island's largest potato growers.
Janet Reeves is author of three cookbooks One Potato, Two
Potato, first published in 1987 and reprinted in 2002, The
Potato Cookbook, published in 1997, and The Apple a Day
Cookbook, published in 1993.
