Janet Wilson lives in a converted 19th Century coach house in south-central Ontario with her
husband Chris, niece Heather, Chimi the Chihuahua and Lulu the Springer Spaniel. Her son Cory
is an animator in Hollywood and her second-born Graeme aspires to be a screenwriter.
Janet works in a studio adjoining her house and overlooking a river. Her love of books combined
with a particular talent for drawing children has brought her into the world of children's literature.
Her published works include: Daniel's Dog (1990), Jess Was the Brave One (1991), The Baritone
Cat (1994), Tiger Flowers (1994), Selina and The Bear Paw Quilt (1995), In Flanders Fields, The
Story of The Poem by John McCrae (1995), Lucy Maud and the Cavendish Cat (1997), Secret of
the Lunchbox Criminal (1990), Germy Johnson's Secret Plan (1992), Howard's House is Haunted
(1992), We Both Have Scars (1990), Baby Games (1987), Kid's Games (1989), Let's Find Out
About Cats (1990), Let's Find Out About Dogs (1991), and The Worm Song (1993). She is the
recipient of many awards and recognitions to honour her works.
