H. M. Scott Smith
H. M. Scott Smith is an architect, journalist,
and lecturer who specializes in commercial
interiors and historic conservation.  Born in
Montreal, Quebec, he earned a Bachelor of
Science degree from Mount Allison University
in 1967, and a Bachelor of Architecture degree
from the School of Architecture, Technical
University of Nova Scotia, in 1972.  

An active conservationist, Scott has developed
a system for recording and evaluating historic
buildings.  He has lectured extensively on
architecture and his articles and photographs
have appeared in many architectural
publications.

His publications include: The Historic Churches of Prince Edward Island (1986, Second edition 2004), The
Historic Houses of Prince Edward Island (1990), and A Light in the Field (1997).
