ELITEKEY (pronounced el-li-dey-geh) is the
Micmac word for "I fashion things".

The book documents five centuries of Micmac
material culture, ranging in time from the period
before contact with Europeans to the present day.

porcupine quillwork on birchbark; work in wood,
