| Laurie Lacey is a writer and painter from Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, where he lives in a cabin surrounded by woodland. A naturalist and outdoor person of Micmac ancestry through his great grandmothers, he has spent much of his life gathering impressions from nature and researching the medicinal use of plants. He published his first book, Micmac Indian Medicine: A Traditional Way of Health, in 1977. |
