Who we are. . .

Prince Edward Island Books and Publications is located in Alexandra, near Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.  We
are a retail on-line Island bookstore offering books, publications and other media created by Islanders, about
Islanders or about Prince Edward Island.  Our mission is to share the unique culture and natural beauty of Prince
Edward Island through the sale and distribution of Island publications and media.  At this time, we do not have a retail
store location, though we may often be found at various shows and exhibits across the Island.

Terms of Sale

  • There is no sales tax on book orders.

  • All orders must be prepaid in full including shipping and handling.  

  • Payment is accepted through PayPal or through the mail by Visa, MasterCard, cheque, or money order.

  • Unless the purchaser contacts us with a special request, orders will be shipped Canada Post.  Those requiring
    expedited shipping should contact our sales department sales@peibooks.ca

  • Most orders will be filled and shipped the next day.  However, in the case of items on back order, some orders
    may take from four to six weeks.  If an item is on backorder, we will contact you with an estimated ship date.

  • Occasionally an item listed for sale has actually been sold out.  This may be caused by system or human error in
    updating our database.  If you should order such an item, it may be necessary for us to cancel your order.  You
    will be informed by a sales representative as soon as it comes to our attention.

  • All prices are listed in Canadian funds and are subject to change without notice.

  • Purchase orders will be honoured for libraries and institutions only.  Please contact our sales department

Returns Policy

Because we carry the highest quality products, we inspect and pack all of our orders with care, and we offer a time
sensitive commodity, all purchases are considered to be final sales.  We understand there are times when items are
damaged during shipping or the wrong item is shipped.  If this happens, we'll gladly replace the item(s).  Please follow
these guidelines:

1. Contact our sales department (sales@peibooks.ca) and include your invoice number and a description of the
product and problem.  Be certain to include a telephone number where you many be reached.

2. A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) must be obtained from our sales department before a returned item will
be accepted by our shipping department.  Please wait for a response from our sales department giving this
authorization before shipping the item.

3. We must be contacted regarding any defective, incorrect or damaged item within 7 days of receipt.

4. After receiving a RMA from our sales department, an item must be returned within 14 days via Canada Postal
Service.  We will reimburse you for shipping

5. CD's, cassettes, DVD's or other media may only be returned for refund if UNOPENED or they will be replaced with
the exact same item only.

6. Any return item that does not comply with the above stated policy will be subject to 30% restocking fee.
Privacy Policy

PEI Books and Publications does not, has not, and never will sell, rent, lend, disclose or otherwise make available the
names, phone numbers, addresses of its customers to any other company, organization, or individual with the express
written consent of that individual.
Copyright Policy

PEI Books and Publications respects copyright law and expects our customers to do the same.  Unauthorized copying
or distributing of copyrighted works is an infringement of the copyright holders' rights.
